Today brings us to pages 94 to 96 of my 2017 book, Effective Virtual Conversations. Retention is an important topic for all of us in the remote space. What’s going to help people remember your work?

Today we also cover some key topics around group development, a 5th area where remote leaders will benefit from. This bucket includes building trust and creating connection (covered earlier in chapter 2 of Effective Virtual Conversations) as well as Conflict Management and Creating Consensus.

Welcome back to my daily Effective Virtual Conversations reading. Today we are covering pages 87 to 90 of the book, taking a look at the 4th “bucket” of virtual facilitation skills – Tools for Conversations. These are further elaborated upon in Chapter 7 which is fully dedicated to tools for virtual facilitation.
 
In this part of the chapter, I explore working with GOALs. This is a key area for remote team alignment and one teams may not be checking in around as regularly.
